Aoife’s Secondary School Drama programmes are designed for students from First Year to Leaving Certificate.
The programmes focus on building confidence, self-esteem, and social skills through the dynamic medium of drama.
Students engage in improvisation, role-play, and other creative activities that enhance their ability to communicate effectively, both in interpersonal relationships and professional settings.
They also explore key aspects of acting, including character development, plot and voice, gaining a deeper understanding of performance through hands-on practice.

School Plays & Musicals
As an experienced director, I can collaborate with students to create a school play or musical, guiding them through the entire process—from developing characters and rehearsing scenes to delivering a public performance.I strive to make the rehearsal process an engaging and rewarding experience.
Shakespeare for Schools
Secondary school students engage with Shakespearean texts in an immersive and practical way, drawing on acting techniques used by the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), and renowned voice director Cecily Berry.Students will get to experience Shakespeare’s texts as actors do, on their feet, exploring characters, scenes, and themes using methods from the RSC rehearsal room, fostering a deeper understanding of Shakespeare’s works.
A typical session includes warm-ups, an introduction to the play, scene studies, and key speech or character analysis. These dynamic sessions provide students with hands-on opportunities to bring Shakespeare’s language and characters to life.
All workshops are tailored to focus on junior cycle and senior cycle Shakespearean exam texts.
